A Case of Fracture of the Calvarium

There is a peculiarity in the articulation of the two parietal bones with the frontal bone at the top of the skull. The anterior border of the parietal bone is deeply serrated and is bevelled at the expense of the outer surface above and of the inner below. The border of the vertical portion of the frontal bone is thick, strongly serrated, bevelled at the expense of the internal table above, where it rests upon the parietal bones, and at the expense of the external table at each side, where it receives the lateral pressure of those bones.
